Biography:
Bob Blue is a graduate of the Vesper George School of Art and studied painting with Emile Gruppé with whom he enjoyed a long association and close friendship. Bob was an artist all of his working life in the fields of scientific and technical illustration producing works for a variety of industries and all branches of the armed forces. For a decade at GTE he created magazine advertisements for their Communications Systems Division and full-color paintings for trade shows throughout the world.

He maintains a home and studio in Rockport, Massachusetts. Artist Memberships include: North Shore Arts Association, Rockport Art Association, The Copley Society of Boston, Copley Artist-Life Member, Hudson Valley Art Association, The Mary Bryan Gallery, Jeffersonville, Vermont, and the International Society of Marine Painters. His work has received many awards and has been included in numerous exhibitions including a 2003 Tribute Exhibition at the North Shore Arts Association.
