Biography:
Frank P. Corso's work offers the viewer a chance to come face to face with an interpretation of nature featuring confident and expressive brushwork and an extremely proficient use of light. His work covers a broad variety of subject material and offers a unique insight into the understanding of the artist's way of seeing the world around him. Many of his paintings are executed on location in plein-air fashion. His excellence in handling technique adds new dimensions to the intrinsic value of the subject itself.
Frank began his studies in art with private instruction throughout high school and into college (at Onondaga Community College and Syracuse University), and after college apprenticed for many years with World renowned Portrait Artist Robert Hoffmann of Austria, continuing studies with Daniel Greene and Jack Callahan.
Frank's work has been presented in exhibitions, invitational group shows and one man shows as well as his representation in major galleries across the country. Images of his paintings have appeared in nearly every National Art magazine. His work is included in many private and corporate collections nationwide including New York Telephone, Sears, State Farm Insurance, Ritz Carlton and throughout Europe and he is actively engaged in satisfying many commissions for a continuously growing list of clients. He is currently a Full member of the Pastel Society of America, American Society of Marine Artists and a Copley Master at the Copley Society of Boston.
