Biography:
New England artist Paul George was born in Cambridge, Massachusetts. He has a BS from Northeastern University, Boston, MA. He studied at the MFA School in Boston and also with Nationally renowned Artists and authors Charles Reid, William Skip Lawrence, Jeanne Dobie and Robert Wade. Paul is a signature member of the National Watercolor Society and a member of the Cape Cod, North Shore, Academic Artists, New England and Rhode Island Watercolor Societies and former Vice President of the Rockport Art Association.
His work was recently accepted to the American Watercolor Society show and he won the Winsor & Newton Award for Excellence at the National Watercolor Society, also the American Artist Professional League Award at the Academic Artist Show. He won the Gold Medal at the New England Watercolor Show 2003. He published an article in Watercolor Magazine Winter 2000 and has been teaching watercolor workshops since 1996. Painting Cape Ann, Monhegan Island, Pemaquid Light, Vermont Colors and Painting Florida's Colors.
