Biography:
Caleb was born into the artists' colony of Rockport, Massachusetts in 1966 where he began drawing at age four, painting at seven, and attending professional artists' workshops by the time he was twelve. During high school in Kennebunk Maine he was involved in a work-study program, studying with the internationally-known artist Don Stone. After graduating in 1985, he enrolled in the very prestigious Lyme Academy of Fine Arts in Connecticut which he attended through the spring of 1990. Since 1997, Caleb has lived in Ipswich, Massachusetts with his family and paints throughout New England. He also travels frequently to more far-reaching locations such as Wyoming and Ireland to find additional inspiration.

Caleb is a representational-impressionist painter focusing on landscapes and marine scenes. He works primarily in oil but also in watercolor and pastel. He focuses on painting scenes throughout the New England area and primarily works on-location in all kinds of weather. He offers tutoring classes weekly and holds up to four week-long workshops annually. Additionally he performs frequent demonstrations for art associations throughout eastern Massachusetts. He has won numerous awards including, most recently, the Mariboe-Swift Memorial Award from the Rockport Art Association.

Caleb's work can be seen in many galleries throughout New England, including the Rockport Art Association in Rockport Massachusetts, the Crane Collection Gallery in Manchester-By-The-Sea Massachusetts, the Mast Cove Gallery in Kennebunkport Maine, and the Bayview Gallery in Brunswick Maine.
