Artist: Peter Williams
Biography:
The artistic inspiration for marine artist Peter Williams is New England’s
rich maritime past. A tireless waterfront voyeur at the Essex Shipbuilding
Museum, his sea boots have carried him up the masts of several tall ships,
as well as into the mud of the Creek at Essex to paint his favorite views
of boats at low tide. Mr. Williams has a particular interest in subject matter
that pertains to both New England’s maritime and architectural history.
He also runs a successful painting conservation firm and a gallery at the
Fenway Studios building in Boston, Massachusetts and is a Member of the North
Shore Art Association in Gloucester.
