On December 14, 2007 fire broke out in the Lorraine Apartments on Middle Street in Gloucester Massachusetts.
The 8 alarm fire was fought through the night by firemen from approximately 30 surrounding communities.
The apartments collapsed onto the Temple Ahavat Achim next door. Both buildings burned to the ground.
The fire was documented by Gloucester photographer Jay Albert.
